A DAM system is a tool to handle digital content like images, text files and virtually any other data format.

These media files can be attributed with meta information. Such information can describe the content (description, keywords, location), provide technical data (image size) or copyright information for example.

All these information can be used to handle, find and categorize the media files.

It offers category management  functions like create a new category inside the category tree edit categories and delete them.

This is a preliminary solution to make category editing more easier till category editing is integrated into the DAM or available as general solution in TYPO3.

This extension provides three services of the type 'metaExtract' which get EXIF or IPTC data from files.

Extract EXIF data from images by PHP function "exif_read_data". This service has a higher priority to the next service and will be used if the function "exif_read_data" is available

Extract EXIF data from images using external program "exiftags".

exiftags is not included and has to be installed on your server separately.

Services of the type metaExtract are used by the DAM Indexing module.

This is modern version of a faq list, it offers a 'static' view with a list of questions and the answers below. Alternatively you can choose a dynamic view which uses DHTML to fold out the answers when clicking on a question. It is not based  on tt_news like EXT:faq and therefore you have questions and answers on one page! The main objective is to merge functionality of EXT:faq and EXT:faq_plus into a modern look and provide a converter when finished. You can add a search form to the list to filter the faq list. Items can be localised (config.sys_labguage_overlay mode is followed).
